22 April 2025 - 8 New Members!

Hello everyone! It is time for our bi-weekly introductions! Please welcome 8 new members to the community:

@JacquieRenee is in Maryland, United States. Jacqueline had ruptured and unruptured aneurysms, which were treated via craniotomy and coiling.

@Leelee is in California, United States. Linda had a ruptured vessel last September, which was treated via coiling. She is struggling with extreme pain and muscle spasms post-op.

@annv11 is in Virginia, United States. Ann incidentally found 3 aneurysms, one which would not be treated. She had a pipeline embolization for one around 9 weeks ago and the other will be coiled soon.

@MelissaP is in New Jersey, United States. Melissa’s mom experienced a level 5 brain aneurysm last December, where Melissa found her in a deep coma. Her mom had 4 aneurysms, with one being ruptured. She was in a coma for 1-2 days and then in a vegetative state. She was brought to the ER and vasospasm shortly after. The vasospasm lasted about 2-3 weeks. Prior to the rupture, her mom was experiencing terrible headaches, nausea, and a lack of appetite. The doctors told them the aneurysm was “leaking” during this time. She was in the ICU for 1 month then moved to a skilled nursing facility. At the end of January she entered a minimally conscious state, able to start tracking people with her eyes. Now, her mother is still in a MCS.

@Baby59 is in County Wexford, Ireland. Baby59 had a ruptured aneurysm, where doctors performed coiling in May 2024.

@Hedgehog is in County Galway, Ireland. Helen had a rupture and coiling around 8 weeks ago. They also found some unruptured aneurysms as well, and she is very fortunate to have a relatively positive outcome.

@Nanette is in Toronto, Canada. Nanette is a nurse and had a rupture at work in March this year, which was treated via clipping.

@Pauline is in London, United Kingdom. Pauline has two aneurysms (3 mm and 6 mm). The 6 mm is irregular with a daughter sac and is being advised on next steps, to prevent possible rupture. She is deciding between clipping or coiling and wants to hear from others that have been through the process.
