19 June 2025 welcomes part 1!

Apologies to not being able to do this on every Sunday since our wonderful @Lindsey moved off to university. You may notice that the date is incorrect and it’s today, not Sunday. I lost my first go when my device ran out of juice and couldn’t find it so am having a second go at it. However, this time I’m going to split into two groups so I don’t lose everyone again. It’s a good bit of welcomes so let’s get to it!

To start us off we are welcoming @RachelC here in the South. Her aneurysm was found during a scare and the device was sealed 21 of May. She is curious to what others experienced with the seal device. We hope all went well!

@Ligeia is in the UK also had an incidental find. Eleonora has her aneurysm ar the MCA trifurcation. Yes you read that correctly, her MCA splits into 3 parts and not the two. I don’t know if we have any other members who have this phenomena.

@Molly is down in Florida she has a 3mm aneurysm and is waiting for her MRA also an incidental find. She shares she’s feeling scared and concerned waiting for a full treatment plan.

@tess4 is up in Wisconsin. Tess has quite the story having a 2mm LICA aneurysm found in 2001 she was put on the watch and wait list. In 2009, she had coils placed. They eventually compressed and in 2018 she had the first generation of pipeline stent placed. You may be asking why a 2mm would need to be stabilized, well folks Tess has a family history of ruptures. Her mother, grandmother and great grandmother all died from ruptured cerebral aneurysms. I imagine the wait of 8 years for technology to catch up with her were a bit stressful for her and her loved ones.

@Beach is in the Southeast part of the USA and was recently diagnosed with a 2mm aneurysm in the RICA. Sandra was wanting to get pregnancies but is now afraid. She’s been put in the watch and wait list. We have had members who had aneurysms and were able to have beautiful healthy babies. Hopefully you will get on that list!

@Vickif is in Australia. She had 2 clipped aneurysms in Dec 2024 and was concerned with flying the week after she joined. We hope you had a great trip Vicki!

@LaniH is up in Canada. Lani’s son ruptured at 21 and had a craniotomy. He still has ongoing right temple swelling.

@aimeeh is in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. Aimee shares she had an arterial brain aneurysm and had surgery with a shunt. Fortunately she’s not suffering any brain damage or paralysis and would like to connect with others who’ve experienced the same thing as she’d like to know what to expect.

@Joy6 is across the pond in the UK. If I’m counting correctly, she actually has three aneurysms. One ruptured in Jan 2025, an unruptured one was fitted with the WEB device and the third is being watched which I find interesting.

@Sara80 is in Missouri and also a caregiver. Her husband had 5 Brian aneurysms, one having ruptured 2 1/2 years ago. Sara has questions about recovery.

@Beach100 is in Massachusetts and has had an incidental fine in her Left carotid which I’m wondering if it’s the internal carotid and not external. She met with her neurologist the first week of June. Fortunately she’s healthy, doesn’t smoke and I think must handle stress well since she’s a mom of 5!

@Fred9211 is down in Texas. Frederick’s grandmother had an acute intraparenchymal hematoma centered in her left basal ganglia back in February 2025. She was with him fortunately but the experience has been devastating for him and his family. She spent three weeks in ICU and was released under hospice care having both paralysis and aphasia. We understand these effects one can experience and we are here to help.

@Bobby 1231 is in South Carolina and a relative of someone who has a diagnosis and is seeking a second opinion.

@DianeB is up in New York with an incidental find of an aneurysm in her RICA. A year ago she had the WEB device put in and didn’t need to be put in blood thinners.

I’m going to stop here and start again when I get back from my OT appointment. Thank you all for joining, it means a lot. I know some of you have already joined or started topics. Please if you need our help or our experiences, even just to chat with us, start a new topic under the General tab. Any problems with the website reach out to me or the wonderful folks @ModSupport.
