My first flight to Europe was two years post my rupture and repair. No problems flying, was ok’d by my doc and my neurologist.

Hi pool princess. As a rupture survivor, I would leave the decision to him and his doctor. I flew from US to Europe for a holiday i think it was a year after recovering from rupture surgery. I wondered too if flying would cause problems or pain but after talking with doctor about it and husband’s support we did it and had a nice relaxing river cruise in Europe. Take care and listen to your husband’s concerns if any.

Thank you for this recommendation. Since posting, we have flown and can report zero issues! My husband was so relieved. He had spoken to his doctor before hand and got full clearance.
