Stanley Cup Playoffs

Just for a fun distraction

Hmmm, did you see the game tonight?

Laurie Campbell said:

Nah. The Habs are going to shock them the way they shocked the Caps.

Well, don’t worry. Big hockey fan here and Pittsburgh is going all the way again this year.

Yep. They were too tired after the tought 7 game series with WAshington. they weren’t skating well, weren’t passing well, weren’t communicating well, and Havlak was dead on his feet. They’ve got an extra day off, now. They’ll come back. Meanwhile, Pittsburg will be confident, and will have a rude shock. Don’t forget, the Habs were down 3 to 1 against the Caps.

From Mark:

The Pens are taking it home again! Although residing in SC now, I was born and raised in Monroeville. I bleed black and Gold!

From Shelly:
I have to agree with Mark, we’ll see though. It’s a fun time of year and an exciting game watch. Enjoy all.

You realise, of course, that you’re both totally wrong.

I could not be wrong. That would never do.
The Bruins will take out the Flyers, then go down to the Habs

Jim Fitzpatrick said:

I agree that they are wrong, but, then again, so are you…Bruins all the way

Canucks and Bruins both did well tonight. (happy dance)

Let’s see how the Habs do tomorrow. (slight trepidation)

It doesn’t sound like I missed anything! Had our baby grandson here and didn’t get to watch. There’s still lots of time left, don’t worry.

I think the Habs surprised them tonight.
I was happy.
Laurie, go Montreal!!

Montreal and Pittsburg, great game. Shame you missed it.
San Jose and Detroit, not so much.

I’m from Montreal and the fever here is incredible… it will be crazy tomorrow

My son was in Chicago on business. He wasn’t able to go to the Canucks game, but he said he saw a lot of unhappy looking people wearing Hawks sweaters afterwards, so he knew the Canucks had won even before he heard the results of the game.

It’s like a party on the streets here. Flags and people honking horns, and the buses flashing “Go Canucks Go” on the destination sign.

The party feeling from the Olympics hasn’t left, it’s just been transfered.

Montreal has the right to be celebrating. It’s been a long time coming for them.

If the Canucks end up playing the Canadiens in the finals, I’ll have a C-zure!!

Laurie (would that be over Cs?)

It is a lot of fun. My son is a hockey player and is a senior this year, hoping to make a Junior A team. He just can’t give it up, has been doing it since he was 4. It has been great for him. The discipline and committment is what he really likes. Can’t wait for tomorrow. Go Pens!

Best of luck to your son. That’s excellent! And it’s a good career if he can make it to the NHL. A few years of playing, even as a fourth string, would still set him up for life. He would make enough to have a house and a car, and any kind of university training he wanted for his second career.

Mixed night for me. Bruins won (YAY!!)
Nucks lost (sob)

If the Flyers don’t win tomorrow, they’ll be the first team this season to go down in four straight. I’d rather not see that, they’re a better team than that, and have fought hard. Plus if the Bruins take the Flyers in four, and the Habs take seven to put Pittsburg away, then the Bruins will sit for too long and be at a disadvantage.

Jim Fitzpatrick said:

The Bruins are up 3-0…It has been a great series…Why am I not comfortable being up 3-0, It is because the Flyers have played great hockey
