Just very curious to know if any of you have had this type of stent which is similar to PED. Hospital I am dealing with uses the SILK and not PED. Searching for the pros & cons.

it is my understanding that it is based on the preference of the surgeon. Some prefer one over the other- may it be because they have more experience w/ using one over the other and only have slight differences between them. Maybe you can ask your doctor to tell you why he prefers the SILK over the PED.

either way- they should provide you the information regarding the pros and cons.. you're not the doctor. Or at least give you information on both in my opinion.
