No words to convey the happiest moment of my entire life waking up in recovery!!!! I just got home and I'm feeling great!! I had the procedure at 7:30 am yesterday morning. They used 2 stents. I woke up completely alert and painfree!! Was with my sister, boyfriend and best friend by 11:30 am. It all feels so miraculous to me, and I'm so grateful for the amazing care I received. I had some pain in my back towards the end of of that first few hours of laying flat, buy tylenol helped. It returned last night and they had the Neurosurgical resident come check it out, he reassured me that because he could reproduce the pain, it was nothing cardiac but just musculoskeletal. My blood pressure went very low a handful of times (low 70s over 50s), so they were watching me closely, but again, they weren't too worried. In spite of the regular IV, arterial IV on the other side, heart monitors, catheter and leg cuffs, I even managed to get up and take a walk last night! I had a little slight pain in the incision in my groin, but nothing too bad; they used a collagen plug, which will dissolve in 90 days. I'm only on 2 hours sleep, it was tough to sleep through my monitor beeping each time my blood pressure went low and with all the IVs etc, but I've been totally alert and have great energy and not a bit of headache yet!!! I was released a couple of hours ago, and made it up the five flights to my apartment slowly but with no problem. Thanks so much to you and everyone...I think that I may have had half the planet praying for me and I'm feeling beyond blessed and shockingly just fine!! XOXOOXsGrace

I am feeling well...I am having a little expressive aphasia...not a lot but I am watching it. I don't like it when I'm not on my game!!! I am concerned about the lifting involved with work. Esp. when I take students to clinical. I'm going to have to look into my restrictions..
Wonderful news - I read your post to Linda. Congrats - now go take it easy, you just had brain surgery! :)
