HI Dawn...

Perhaps if you start with walking...fast pace...etc., Diet and Exercise need to go hand~in~hand...consult with your Doctor for a "plan of action"... esp since you feel sick when you do certain exercises...as we age it is so important to get that metabolism up and going...

Keep us posted on what you decide and your progress...Colleen

Oops...most important congrats on 2 years annie~versary .... ~

Hi Dawn,

My wife had an SAH last August and they also found another aneurysm at the same time which they have left alone at the moment. These could almost be her words that i was reading in your post. Like you she was a size 10/12 and now rapidly approaching size 14 she gets so depressed looking at her expanding waist line we have started walking 2 -3 miles every day and the doctor told her to buy a wii fit to help strengthen muscles, but she finds it so differcult as it completely exhausts her and she then has to sleep for two or three hours after. Tried unsucessfully to get her referred to the local gym by the G.P. as they have specialist instructors for stroke patiets, but only could get an appointment with physio. like your husband it doesn't bother me that much infact i think she did need to put on a bit of weight, it's just her stomach that has upset her, not being able to get into her old clothes. like you she just doesn't feel fit enough to do a real physical workout. I don't know about you but once you leave hospital you feel like your totally on your own. I didn't now whether if some sort of yoga type excercise thats not quiet as physical as arobics could be of some use ,sorry we can't be of any help but can understand how you feel.

Dawn, welcome back...and congrats on your two years... many of us have continued issues...when I tried to exerce, I would also feel dizzy / out of balance...always lts to that story...

RE: your weight... do you have any swelling and/or any thyroid issues post-treatment...have you been tested?

There are severaal of us discussing these issues ...

Again, congrats...and prayers for your continued recovery...
