Although it is a great question re weighing the odds of a rupture v. a crainotomy, I think that is a great question for your medical team/s.
At one BA support group I attend the neurosurgeon discussed generally how they weigh the risks of surgery v. watch and wait. As I understand (from the patient perspective) that factors such as age, overall health, location of the aneurysm, size of the aneurysm, are just some of what they consider. Since your team knows you best, they are better able to discuss the risks…but never hesitate to get a second or third opinion!
Sending good thoughts your way!

The Apple Watch is the only one I know about. There seems to have been a commercial with a guy in a park that fell, unfortunately I can’t recall if his was a watch or something else.
Does your android not have this same information available to first responders? I know my iPhone does under the Health app. I also have the ability to label any of my contacts as ICE contacts. Which reminds me, I need to update my medication list.
Good question!
On my android, there is a “medical info” setting that can either be locked or unlocked.
I have mine set as unlocked, so anyone (emergency folks) can get access to it if I am passed out. I have my medical team listed, info about my shunt, etc. But, yes, I have to update to officiallly eport that Elmer is dead …and take that Plavix off too!
I’ll check My phone. Thank you all so much
I do have that information through my Android but I use a separate app specifically that will message my contacts and let them know what’s going on.. also it allows me to put more information in there for a first responders..
Yes I checked and I do have emergency contacts and my med info listed but I’m not sure how or what to press fir emergency. It says press side button 5 x
Here’s the app I use. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.medicalid
To access the emergency info on an Android, just select “Emergency Call” at the lock screen, then slide the “Emergency Info” button to unlock the information entered in the Safety app.
This is at least true on a Pixel.
That’s great! I believe the more information the First Responders can get, the better off we are and to automatically contact folks is impressive. Thank you!
I already have emergency contacts but nothing shows on my lock screen . I have Samsung galaxy a35
I found this https://youtu.be/s9wOXcEpiZY?si=cRZqxuzoPm3p3gdM. Hopefully someone with a galaxy can give you more info.
Thx I’ll check it out. Spent hours looking for answers
Hi @sunnyg1590 -
I lost my Galaxy in the ER last year, so I don’t have one now, but I loved it for many a year! [On the plus side, my month in the hospital was very calming and peaceful as I was free from all digital drama! ]
You likely already found this from the video @Moltroub provided (and I appreciate quite some time has passed!), but just to be sure, I located this page on Samsung on how to include Medical Info in your Galaxy:
How to add emergency contact & medical info on phone lock screen
I am suspicious that Step 5 in “how to enter your medical information” might be the ticket, but see if this page helps you out overall.
Please let us know what else we can do to help you out!

Hello, my mother had an aneurysm rupture few weeks ago, when diagnosed the doctors gave us three choices. Clipping, coiling, or just take her back home and wish for the best (this was very risky but they mentioned it so that we know all the alternatives) . They explained each in details and explained why the clipping surgery is best for her (the neck size and placement of the aneurysm). The point here is that watching BP, etc. Is always an option. But the rupture is something you want to avoid. My advice here is to talk to your doctor and understand the aneurysm you have (size, placement, neck size, etc.) and what procedure is best for you, also do your research (risks, complications..), then decide.
Also Apple Watch has a fall detection feature.
Wishing you strength and clarity. And whatever path you choose, I hope it brings you peace and the best possible outcome.
Thank you so much. I hope your Mom is ok.
Yes I spoke to my dr 2x and pretty much it’s up to me. If I decide surgery he will do another test to determine the best way to do surgery
