How fast should the surgery be when you are diagnosed with unruptured aneurysm

Hello:

Although for 6 months in France I have been diagnosed with an unruptured terminal axial aneurysm on the right side, all of a suden a doctor in NY said I have a middle cerebral aneurysm. I just received the information today.

Now, all other doctors said I should do a treatment or perhaps a clipping, but the last doctor said I have more risks doing a treatment than leaving it alone. I am 66 years old and my aneurysm is said to be between 5 and 7mm. I am afraid to do the angiography here in france, and anyway, how can we be sure that the angiogram is well analysed ? After all, not one doctor agreed on anything regarding my anny.

What a Mess ! I think I am going to let it be, and then: "que sera sera". Thanks for listening.

Michele

Hi Millie:

I just read about your decision to have the treatment or surgery. Please tell me how it went ? :Thank you.

I hope you are well and running.

Michele

Hi Chavosh. I am post-op. I had/have a 7.5 mm left middle cerebral aneurysm and they found another small one after going in during operation. Surgery was not forced on me but highly recommended. Depending on your stress level and strength only you can choose which way you want to go. I knew I could not live knowing I had this untreatred in my head but that is my personality. I also have high BP, high cholesterol and am 62, ex-smoker since the operation 13 months ago. Best wishes and prayers sent your way. Jeanne
