I like your response, a lot! Food for thought for sure. And that was really tactless and rude of that partygoer to have said that to you - I would've probably whacked him in the head to show him what brain damaged would really look like...LOL Actually, maybe he's already brain damaged and that explains his awful words. Shameful. I'm glad you were able to come away on the better side of that nastiness - that's very brave. Kudos to you!
Ooh, I couldn't remember passwords either, and I finally figured them all out and wrote them on paper and hid them on my desk (but not to well so I could still find them LOL). I like your line about not wanting to worry others with our symptoms and just saying we are fine when we aren't really - and I agree that we should maybe be more truthful, but also sometimes some of us are truthful and the persons we tell just don't see it or get it. Tough spot...
Yep, same sentiment - trying to be strong (I have 3 little ones and my husband is a natural worry wart), trying to be brave, keeping busy to keep emotionally level...added up to all the friends and family thinking all was well again, when it really isn't. And I'm seeing more and more themes - conversation problems, noise/crowds issues...I feel that way too.
Me too~~ Cyber hugs to all of us!!!
