That post above seemed to work OK, can you explain what you mean by ‘lots of strange emoji junk’. If I can fix it, I will, but I’ll need a bit of explanation.

Lissa, Apple’s last update added some emoji’s that are foreign to me…I don’t know about the other products. You can chose to ignore all the emojis or ask about them. Also on this server if you put a colon and parenthesis indicating a smile, it will read as “slight smile”. Unless you give more information, we are in the dark…
