Hello, my supportive friends. My procedure went well. I’m home now resting. Only one small adverse effect, a hematoma at the groin which was resolved. I will keep you updated. The operation took 90 minutes; they had prepared for potentially four hours. I had four doctors present. Everything went smoothly. Again, thank you for your help. It means a lot to me. :heart:

Wonderful news! I’m so happy for you! Congratulations! It’s a great feeling when this is behind you and not in front of you. I’m sure it’s the same feeling for your family.
Be careful and don’t overdo walking for the next following days. I’m sure you got proper instructions from the hospital. Rest and recover on the couch, it makes wonders to take a nap.
I’m happy for you!

Just stent. A 4th generation Pipeline Vantage. I can’t tell it’s there. Slight headache resolved by Tylenol. Hope that continues to be the case.

Happy dance for you :dancer::dancer::dancer::notes:. I’m really glad you’re resting! Now comes the hard part staying hydrated and eating enough protein for your healing brain! Yes, I say that all the time but our brains really need it.

It’s simply mind boggling medicine has come so far that some aneurysms don’t need coils! Outstanding!

Thank you @Moltroub. I am resting, staying hydrated and plan on eating healthy. Fortunately, my husband is the cook in this family and he’s great!

You’re one lucky gal! I’m not allowed to cook unsupervised. It’s a rule that my first ST sent to Dr. Quintero Wolfe and she put it in my list of rules! What a snitch! Mom was in ICU and Dad was supposed to be supervising but the old goat refused to sit at the table and wanted his recliner. He also wanted hot dogs. He called me into the living room and guess what I forgot on the stove…yes ma’am we ate burned hot dogs and it still smelled up the house by the time BH got home from work. Another snitch! I can do the prep work if BH tells me what we’re having. So it works for us.

Mom was teaching me how to cook again and we were having as much fun as the first time she taught me. She was a fantastic cook. She made recipe books for her children and had started on making them for the grandkids. They make nice gifts and we have some really old family recipes (great-grandmother or before) in them. We have a bread recipe that’s supposed to make seven loaves, no weights or measures really and it uses lard! We also have one Mom had that no one really cares for unless they like cottage cheese, but she liked it. BH was going to toss it and I said nope, what will we have to laugh at?:rofl:. First time BH ate it was at my parents 45th anniversary I think. Mom had a “thank you portion rule”. BH saw me put my tablespoon on my plate day 1 but not the next or the next. There was about two dozen of us there. BH got mad and asked where my thank you portion was and I said I had it yesterday I don’t need to have it again, I still don’t like it. Boy did I get a fussin out for not sharing the entire rule:crazy_face::rofl:

@Moltroub Again, you tell great family stories. Maybe I will take up cooking now. On the other hand . . .

Grilling is nice and slow, plus you can read a book and have a libation of your choice all while cooking!:rofl:

@Moltroub Always a good reason!
