Well you go girl! I love bicycles! I still have the one I bought when I attended college back in the day, it’s about 40 years old now, a nice shorter Peugeot 10 speed that needs new tires. It still has the one and only scratch from when I flipped it over a gate that had never been closed in lower Bidwell Park.:joy:

Angiograms are how the surgeon can really see what’s going on with our aneurysms, I do believe it’s been called the “gold star” for many, many years. Sounds like he’s really confident about the type of flow diverter he wants to use, I’d ask for the all the information I could just so I could look it up. I’d probably research our NIH site as well as the manufacturer’s.

Make sure you’ve got your list of questions ready for your appointment on Monday. If you don’t mind, I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers…

@Belka04 -

I am just going to state the obvious - which you already know. After you speak with your doctor, you do have the option yo get a second opinion, if you wish. I am just thinking that may help you come to a decision you can be comfortable with. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Like the others, I am holding you in my thoughts and prayers - and keep going with that breathing to help de-stress!

@Belka04 good luck talking with your doctor tomorrow! In my case, I found it helpful to talk with docs from several related disciplines: a neurologist, an interventional radiologist and a neurosurgeon. They each may have different perspectives on treatment. That potpourri of perspectives and a final chat with each where they all supported me led to my decision. Again, you will get there.

@seniorlady, yes, I have an appointment scheduled with my neurologist, but it’s not until February 17, 2025. Thank you for your support.

Okay. I must have misread something somewhere. Try to keep positive between now and February. Enjoy the holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for clarifying the appointments. I had to stop, go back and reread posts. I should have just kept reading:crazy_face::joy:

Hello everyone,

I’m finally back and wanted to share an update. I had an angiogram of my brain on December 7. It revealed that instead of one aneurysm, I have two on the same branch—one is 3 mm, and the other is 5 mm with a concerning shape.

I’ve been on blood thinners since December, and I am scheduled for a stent procedure on January 21, 2025. I’m hopeful that everything will go well. I will keep you posted after the procedure.

Thank you for your support and well wishes.

Thank you all for your support.

Thanks so much for the update! I’ll keep you in my thoughts, but please do something fun this weekend that fills you up with love and happiness. The aneurysms will have their day next week and before you know it, you’ll be saying walk in the park!

Hi @Belka04 -

I just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you, and sending many good wishes and healing energy your way, as I am sure you must be getting a little fretful right now before tomorrow’s procedure.

I know you are going to do a great job, and (at least from my experience) you are going to feel FANTASTIC after it is over and done!

Please let us know how you are doing - but only when you get a chance!
