What a fantastic beautiful morning! The moon was outstanding in its glow when Nina woke me up at 0500 hours. That was a huge positive to start my day and I’m grateful for it. I drank my hot cup of tea watching the glorious sight disappearing over and behind the trees. Had some chores to do and those are done, so another positive. I can’t do as much as I could but with time, I’ll be able to get more of my chores done responsibilities back! Shared responsibilities are important in a family unit, even when a family is two. It’s reminding me of what I was and wasn’t able to do after I ruptured. Over the months and years I was able to contribute more and yes, I did get a lot more rules because I messed up. First thing I want to be able to do is take my own shower 😂. Independence is highly important and we learn to take what we can get and not give it up.

I was watching YouTube videos and one of the carvers put this up [https://youtu.be/grYiPUE802g?is=VY\_Yq2IVQraT1tZl](https://youtu.be/grYiPUE802g?is=VY_Yq2IVQraT1tZl). He calls the state Flow, if you’re older you may know it by being in the zone. Here’s Wiki’s on the Psychologist who developed the theory [Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mihaly_Csikszentmihalyi). Not being able to get in my zone for a while has really discombobulated me and I’ve been trying different things to get another hobby I can do. Sometimes coloring almost gets me there, sometimes practicing my penmanship almost gets me there. I miss messing around with wood. I’ve a bit of discomfort and swelling that’s probably being focused on too much and not allowing my brain to get fully immersed. There’s also the fact I have to keep my left hand elevated which I’ve found makes coloring and writing feel odd as I’m unused to my left hand being where it needs to be and not how I normally hold it. As Mom would say: “Complainer’s complaints” whenever one of us would be fussing about something. Guess it was better than saying “Quit your whining and get over it.” like her brother would say. Dad was often times better and would encourage us to “try again, if that doesn’t work, try again.” Although he did start saying “You need to get back on that horse, don’t let it control you.” the first time I rode my first horse and fell when my foot slipped through the stirrup and my leg got caught up in it. Pretty hard when my head hit first. Thankfully my mare was good, and there was a teen a bit older than me who also encouraged me to get back on. I learned there was a good reason to wear boots and not tennis shoes and I learned to ride properly. Learning something new takes time, encouragement and desire along with determination. Encouragement often can be self encouragement and sometimes from others. I hope you have a hobby that can get you in the zone, away from having a cerebral aneurysm even for just a few hours each day. We have many members that have different hobbies. Some draw, paint, play music, read, crochet, knit, woodworking, etc. I strongly encourage you to get a hobby and find your flow state! Don’t forget to let us know your hobby as it may give others a suggestion. Now on to the welcomes!

@PaulaC starts us off up in Wisconsin. Paula shares she had an aneurysm removed near her eye in July. She’s feeling great but has some lingering weird things to solve, like being able to lay on her back or right side without spinning. Paula shares she’s a flutist and is retired. I bet she can get in her zone with her flute! Come ask questions and let us know how we can help!

@mics is down south in Florida. Mike was just diagnosed with 2 aneurysms, he doesn’t know how they’ll be treated and needs to know his choices. He’s already started a new topic here [Right inferior M1/M2 fusiform aneurysm measuring 4 x 3 x 3 mm. Anterior communicating artery fusiform aneurysm measuring 2 x 2 by 2 mm - #2 by Moltroub](https://www.bafsupport.org/t/right-inferior-m1-m2-fusiform-aneurysm-measuring-4-x-3-x-3-mm-anterior-communicating-artery-fusiform-aneurysm-measuring-2-x-2-by-2-mm/20476/2) . Please help him out!

@rachel.k is up in Minnesota. Rachel has an unruptured aneurysm that was clipped and now requires coils. In 2008 the aneurysm was found incidentally during an MRA for migraines and she received a stent. She’s had follow up scans every 5 years and this year the scan showed some regrowth. Rachel has had her angiogram which verified the scan and the surgeon wants to add some coils. Rachel also has some hobbies! She loves to garden, color and listen to audiobooks. Rachel shares she’s feels blessed to have Jesus helping to get her through this life. Wow what a journey! Please start a new topic!

@maeve is up in Massachusetts and her brother has the aneurysm. Maeve shares her brother’s aneurysm was leaking for a month but didn’t rupture before he was hospitalized. He was in ICU for a month had stent placement and a clip. He’s now one month post surgery experiencing short term memory challenges and delusions. Pretty sure our members have a lot of questions, please start a new topic!

That’s our newest members for the week! Check out @John2 and his first post under the Support category, please help out @oliviacc who is being the carer for her mom, we know how important our caregivers are to us. Big shout out of gratitude for @FinWhaleFan having my back last week, thank you so much!

We love to help each other here, it’s what a support group does and I feel we do it dang good! We can’t help if you don’t post either in an existing one or better yet start a new topic so we can get to know you! Please be patient in receiving responses as we do cover a lot of different time zones. If you have any difficulties in navigating this site or any questions on it, feel free to reach out to me, @Moltroub or the very kind folks who make up @ModSupport who are also in different time zones and one of us will help. Also remember to follow the site guidelines [Community Guidelines](https://www.bafsupport.org/t/community-guidelines/15173/1) . There are some older topics we keep open because they remain useful like Doctor and clinic recommendations here [Recommend Doctor or Clinic - Brain Aneurysm Support Community](https://www.bafsupport.org/c/symptoms/recommend-doctor-or-clinic/20) . Be careful in older topics because those members may no longer be active so try to stay within the last six months or so if you’re replying. I’m supposed to close the old ones but it seems like a never ending task. But if you do, I’ll definitely thank you for finding it, give it a day or so to see if someone responds and then close it. I will always let you know before I do.

Before I end, did you all catch this? [Six years ago I signed my second lease of life - #7 by Bordercolliemum](https://www.bafsupport.org/t/six-years-ago-i-signed-my-second-lease-of-life/20464/7) I’m certainly doing a happy dance! It’s a big deal y’all, just saying

That’s it, remember to hydrate, rest eat protein and breathe. I forgot to hydrate properly yesterday and I’m paying the piper today. Have a great week! Practice a hobby, take a moment to see the simple beauty and joy that surrounds us daily. See you on the topics!
