Closures

My 18 month clipping angiogram was technically good, although my aneurysm is not fully occluded, the coils have not moved, indicating no new blood is entering and the coils are not being pushed on to the edge of the aneurysm. My next one is scheduled for two years and I can take a baby aspirin instead of a 325 mgs one.

The closure used for this angio was not an angioseal, nor a mynx, but something called a star seal. It looks like this is permanent and I was not consulted before hand about it. I am concerned that this will be a big problem. Any thoughts?

Hi Campanile,

I am a little confused. Do you have clipping? Or, coiling? or, both at the same time?

Coiling with a stent

I see I wrote “clipping” why I did that, I have no clue, nonwonder you were confused.
